For this Fall '15 Project, we investigated a site adjacent to the 606 Chicago trail in wicker park for a potential field house development.
After a series of investigations and studies of what the community needed, I came up with a comprehensive design that split the site into 3 smaller sectors.
The first part of the site was a home to a new community center that provided multiple exhibition and showcase spaces for the community as well as a restaurant on the 2nd floor that oversees the trail and the city and a new wicker park library.
The second part of the site was a home to a fitness center with a small gymnasium, locker rooms, and a large soccer & basketball fields.
The third part of the site was a home to an outdoors event space where community members can hold multiple shows and other artist venues as they deem fit.
